First, each marker on the genome is scanned.\nBonferroni correction is replaced by a less stringent selection\ncriterion for significant test. Then, all the markers that are\npotentially associated with the trait are included in a\nmulti-locus genetic model, their effects are estimated by\nempirical Bayes, and all the nonzero effects were further\nidentified by likelihood ratio test for significant QTL. The\nprogram may run on a desktop or laptop computers. If marker\ngenotypes in association mapping population are almost\nhomozygous, these methods in this software are very effective.\nIf there are many heterozygous marker genotypes, the IIIVmrMLM\nsoftware is recommended.
